Ten Tips on Earthquake Safety

1.

Find a safe place for your family and yourself!



2.

When the first shock arrives, immediately turn off any flames or heat sources that could cause a fire!



3.

Do not rush outside!



4.

Keep at least one door open to assure the ability to escape!



5.

When outside, protect your head and avoid dangerous objects!



6.

If in a place such as a department store or a theater, follow the instructions of the employees!



7.

If in an automobile, move to the left curb and park. Do not enter prohibited areas!



8.

Be careful of landslides, rock falls and tsunami (tidal waves)!



9.

Evacuate by walking and keep baggage to a minimum!



10.

Ignore rumors, Move only after receiving accurate information!
